How to care for your Lilygrace Orginals jewellery
PLEASE do not wear your jewellery in the shower/bath/to go swimming, it may never be the same again! If the jewellery includes a cameo the images have been glazed, but I would say they are water resistant, rather than waterproof.
If the jewellery includes embroidered silk or lace, immersion in water may well cause the different materials to shrink at different rates when drying out.
Polymer clay is strong and durable - I have pieces I made 20 years ago which are as fresh and vibrant as when they were made. However, if dropped on a hard surface, delicate features such as flower petals may well break. This can be usually be repaired.
If you are unlucky enough to break a piece of my jewellery, please contact me.
I am always prepared to mend the piece if at all possible, either Free of Charge if the fault occured during making; or for a small fee to cover the time and materials used to do the repair, if it has been damaged by the customer
"But I don't have pierced ears!"
No problem, as long as your Lilygrace Originals earrings have leverback wires, I can easily change them over (free of charge) to clip-on earwires.
if they are studs, I am happy to make a pair specially for you with clip-on backs.
"Will your earrings make my ears itch?"
The leverback earwires I use are 100% pure brass.
They do NOT contain nickel, which is the metal which causes most of the allergic reactions to earwires.
While I can't guarantee that you will not react to the earwires, it is very rare for anyone to be allergic to brass.
In 4 years of using these earwires I have never had a customer have a problem with them.
