My inspirations are the colour and gothic drama of Frida Kahlo, the jewellery designer Miriam Haskell's fantastic and intricate combinations of unusual materials - from the precious to the mundane - and the surrealism and humour of Elsa Schiaparelli
As you will see from the collections, I am fascinated by the lives of women in the past, whether they worked in a Vintage Circus, performed as a burlesque artist, a Fin de Siecle show girl or lived their life as a Geisha or a Saint.
Other themes I find interesting include the Mexican festival of the Day of the Dead, which is a cleebration of the lives of those who have passed on, "Sailor Jerry" style traditional tattoos, nature, and the endless courage and visual imagination of Frida Kahlo.
